Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association of India - TEMA - has taken many initiatives for supporting the Digital Economy policies of the Indian government. The scenario of technology has been ever-changing but now it is changing even faster.
The speed of innovations and disruptions have taken a center stage in the telecom services business and hence in telecom equipment & products as well.
TEMA believes that innovations will now come mainly from startups considering that startups are agile and flexible in their approach.
Startups are also given prime importance by the Government and several initiatives & incentives have been announced by our Hon’ble Prime Minister himself. TEMA realized the need for a body to link the product based startup with technology solutions, market opportunities & social projects and supporting them with telecom sector operators and Govt. of India.
Keeping the above in mind, TEMA has promoted an initiative to focus on Startups & technology innovations with the name - TEMA National Development Council for Start Ups.
And to lead this initiative, TEMA has appointed Arun Seth as the Chairman of the TEMA National Development Council for Start Ups.
According to Ravi Sharma, Chairman TEMA, Arun Seth will lead the startup movement from TEMA at a time when this initiative will enhance the speed of innovation in telecom equipment space and will help achieve the mission of AatmNirbhar Bharat by developing and deploying Make In India equipment for 5G / 6G / IoT networks.
Commenting on his appointment, Arun Seth said “The core value of future networks be it 5G / 6G / IoT and beyond is mostly software. India is a proven master in software and with the right guidance and support to our startup community, closer collaboration with our research labs at IITs and universities, India can truly become the leader in startups that can harness the power of future networks and create global companies. TEMA National Council for Startups will bridge the gap between innovations, academia, and manufacturing with a focus to develop & deploy complete stack of future networks in India."
Seth has wide experience of driving startups in various roles including Nasscom BPO Council, Nasscom EC, and Nasscom Product Conclave. He has been associated with many startups as a mentor and a coach.
