New Update

Apple will introduce three iPad 2 versions in April 2011. Apple is working on iPad products particularly on the issue of screen reflection and smudging. It is also said to be working to reduce the mass of its tablets (by using a thinner glass) which are on the slightly heavier side compared to other tablets being sold in the market. The models are featured with Wi-Fi, UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System, which is also known as 3GSM and Wi-Fi connectivity) or CDMA connectivity or in combination with each other.

Advertisment

Apple is also expected to add USB ports to the iPads. Apple is most likely to stop the production of iPad and make a shift towards iPad 2. The market has seen a flurry of rumours about iPad 2 and what additions would be made to it, and most of them have talked about common features such as front facing camera and the shape being squarer. As far as current sales go, close to 65 per cent iPad sales are being made for 3G models, which may propel Apple towards more 3G models.
