French group Alcatel-Lucent and USA telecom firm Verizon Wireless have entered into a $4 billion pact for four years for collaboration in the area of telecom infrastructure.
As part of the agreement, Alcatel-Lucent's wireless network architecture and services will be utilised to support Verizon Wireless' 3G network expansion and 4G/LTE (long-term evolution) network.
Alcatel-Lucent in a statement today said the agreement is expected to result in business worth $4 bn.
As per the pact, Alcatel-Lucent would provide infrastructure solutions in areas including professional and network integration services.
