Alcatel-Lucent offers IP VPN services to BT Ireland

BT Ireland has extended its partnership with Alcatel-Lucent. As part of the alliance, Alcatel Lucent will supply Ethernet and IP VPN services to BT in Ireland. The Alcatel-Lucent platform was delivering Ethernet based solutions for BT Ireland customers; now it will deliver IP services for its business customers.

BT Ireland will deploy 7750 service router and 5620 service aware manager among its IP portfolio to underpin its recently launched IP Connect Ireland service as part of its extensive network infrastructure in Ireland.

BT plans to ts on-going investment programme in market leading network technologies to ensure that our customers can grow and develop their businesses at the pace and depth necessary to win and develop in their respective markets.
