Airtel signs agreement with eSeva

Bharti Airtel has signed an agreement with eSeva of Andhra Pradesh Government for collection of documents from its customers to conform to the Department of Telecommunications regulations. Following security concerns, the government has mandated the telecom service providers to get the required documents from subscribers whose identity details were found to be not sufficient.

With the DoT directive mandating all service providers to conform to the order by October 31, 2010, eSeva officials hoped that the agreement with Airtel would prompt others to follow the suit.
