Airtel 5G Plus now live in 4 new cities of Jammu and Kashmir

Airtel 5G Plus services are now available for Airtel users in Katra, Anantnag, Baramulla and Rajouri.

Telecommunications service provider, Bharti Airtel today announced the launch of Airtel 5G Plus services in four new cities of Jammu and Kashmir, Katra, Anantnag, Baramulla and Rajouri. Airtel 5G Plus services are already available in Jammu, Srinagar, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Akhnoor, Kupwara, Lakhanpur and Khour. Total number of cities that now have access to Airtel 5G Plus in Jammu and Kashmir are now 13.

Airtel 5G Plus services will be available to customers in a phased manner as the company continues to construct its network and complete the roll out. Customers with 5G enabled devices will enjoy high speed Airtel 5G Plus network at no extra cost until the roll out is more widespread.

Airtel became the sole service provider to introduce its 5G services in Jammu and Kashmir with the launch of 5G services in Jammu and Srinagar in December 2022, followed by Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Akhnoor, Kupwara, Lakhanpur and Khour in January.

Airtel 5G Plus services are now available for Airtel users in Katra, Anantnag, Baramulla and Rajouri.

All of Airtel’s retail locations nationwide now have 5G experience zones set up. The blistering internet speeds of 5G and new use cases including immersive virtual reality entertainment, cloud gaming among others are brought to life in these specifically selected zones by Airtel showcasing the technology’s capability.

According to the telco, since it is a pioneer in the sector, it has taken the initiative to make the new technology easier to understand for users and enable them to fully appreciate the benefits of 5G. All of the 1000+ Airtel stores will have specially trained executives who will not only demonstrate use cases but will also answer any concerns about 5G in addition to discussing Airtel’s own offers.

In addition Airtel today also announced that it has surpassed 10 Million Unique users on its 5G Network, and is accessible across all states nationwide. With today's launch of Airtel 5G Plus services in four cities of Jammu and Kashmir, the total number of cities that now have Airtel 5G Plus has increased to 141.
