Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will be trying to introduce 4G in isolated Indian communities in order to close the connection gap. In Kothagudem, a city in Telangana, the government-run telecom provider is getting ready to roll out native 4G to 32 outlying villages. The villages ought to be close to the city's environs. Dr. Priyanka Ala, the district collector, reportedly stated that BSNL will build 4G towers in 32 villages where there is no mobile coverage in the area.

The collector was asked to set aside two guntas (1,089 square feet) of land for the installation of cell towers in the villages following a meeting with BSNL representatives. Out of the 32 villages, the tax department will distribute the land to 26 of them, while the remaining 6 villages will distribute the land following agreements with the agricultural officials. This is due to the fact that in some villages, the agriculture department is in charge of the land.

For the network rollout, BSNL is working with Tejas Networks and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). After September, the government-owned telco is anticipated to roll out 4G commercially. Earlier, India's minister for IT and telecom, Ashwini Vaishnaw, stated that BSNL would begin rolling out 4G in 300 locations every day from September.

Tejas Networks reported in a regulatory filing that it received a Rs 750 crore advance from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for providing 4G/5G equipment to BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited). Tejas will take care of the site maintenance in addition to providing the equipment.

Within the next two years, BSNL will bring out indigenous 4G/5G throughout India. The state-run telco will enlist the aid of Tejas Networks, which will take care of the equipment and its upkeep, and TCS, which will serve as a systems integrator.

According to Tejas Networks, in August, TCS awarded it a contract worth Rs 7492 crore to provide 4G/5G RAN (radio access network) for BSNL’s PAN India mobile network. In the coming years, BSNL plans to install 4G/5G at 100,000 sites. 20% of these locations will be launched by ITI, and TCS will launch the remaining sites.

The availability of land parcels of the appropriate size is required in the 32 villages where BSNL aims to introduce 4G service, to ensure that its residents have access to internet connectivity as quickly as possible.

Because there is no mobile service in these communities, the government and officials chose the villages. The residents of these places would benefit from having access to high-speed mobile networks. All of these communities would receive native 4G from BSNL, something that none of the commercial carriers could do.

The state-run telecom business have received back-to-back relief announcements from the government. The Union Cabinet in June this year, approved the third revival package for Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). This complete package, which would cost a total of Rs 89,047 crore, intends to revive BSNL and establish it as a dependable telecom service provider with a particular interest and emphasis on enhancing connectivity in rural parts of India.A notable component of the agreement is the transfer of shares to BSNL in exchange for the 4G/5G spectrum.
