His resignation as CTO of VIL (rebranded now as Vi) came as a rude shock to the telecom industry. Now, as pleasant news, Vishant Vora's new role is known.

Vora will lead Mavenir’s global end-to-end business operations including network design, rollout and deployments, solutions and systems integration services, managed services and related strategic initiatives.

Vora will be based at Mavenir’s headquarters in Richardson, Texas and will report to Pardeep Kohli, President and CEO of Mavenir, with effect from Nov 16th, 2020.

Pardeep Kohli, President and CEO of Mavenir, believes that Vora will provide a strong focus in leading his company's operations activities and will also be charged with leading and driving growth in its end to end O-RAN-based cloud-native network deployments and managed services business.

“I am excited to join Mavenir at such an exciting time,” expressed Vora. “With its broad portfolio and innovative technology, Mavenir is well-positioned to enable operators to realize the promise of 5G, and I look forward to being part of Mavenir at this pivotal time.”

At Vodafone, Vora was responsible for providing strategy, people, budget, and overall delivery for the technology aspects of the company.  He played an instrumental role in the integration of Vodafone and Idea in 2017, including steering the post-merger integration of the two companies and transforming the business to become a 5G-ready Digital Telco.
