With TEC making testing stringent, selling China made
handsets under local names may not be so simple. How do you plan to keep
yourself safe on this front?

We, as a company have always pioneered in bringing quality
for our consumers. We will always endeavor to bring products which excel in
technological brilliance in a price affordable range for the masses. Moreover,
we have been servicing our customers effectively and efficiently with our after
sales service centers. Currently, we are supporting our customers with 300
service centers, out of which thirty are Zen repair hubs covering all the
states. We are planning to take it upto 600 by April 2011.

How big is the 3G business opportunity for you?

3G is the new buzzword and as such its launch opens the door to innovative
value added services like web browsing, mobile banking, mobile games, videos,
conferencing, e-commerce, etc. Zen Mobile has designed seamless convergence
devices with functionalities for both personal and professional use in half the
price of the high-end mobiles with the same multimedia features.

Most of the new brands have been emphasizing on stylish
multi-media handsets. Do you think it is the best way forward?

Even as Indian handsets' manufacturers continue to focus on India's need for
low-cost devices for rural markets, they are not ignoring the growing popularity
of multi-media rich phones in this burgeoning marketplace. Indian handset
manufacturers including Zen Mobile, are bringing user-friendly gadgets and
revolutionizing the industry with unbelievable technology enabled applications.

What do you think differentiates your brand from the rest
of the league?

Our focus is tier-2 and tier-3 cities currently, where the penetration level
is not as high as metros. Our products amply cater to this target segment which
wants innovative and high-end features at an affordable price. Our future plans
will definitely revolve around 'the right product and price combinations'.

Do you think in India the concept of mobile number
portability is becoming less significant as many users today are already using
multi-SIM handsets and have more than one cellular connection?

Yes, it is still early to say how significant a role it will play in the
industry. However, what it will do is make service providers focus more on
satisfying the customers.

What are the targets that Zen has set itself to accomplish
by the end of this fiscal?

We are positioning our products and brand towards providing innovative
products at very aggressive prices. Special focus will be on providing good
service support which becomes the key for obtaining long-term business success.
