Tata Telecom Ltd, the country’s leading enterprise communication solution provider and an equal joint venture partner with US-based Avaya, announced unaudited financial results for the six months ended September 30, 2001. For Q2, Tata Telecom has achieved a profit before tax of Rs 5.70 crores compared to Rs 2.46 Cr. in the corresponding previous period, which is an outstanding increase of 132%. In HI, the company has achieved Rs. 101.36 Cr. turnover (38% growth as compared to Rs. 73.20 Cr. in the corresponding previous period) despite the economic slowdown. The profit before tax for the H-1 is Rs. 7.18 Cr., an increase of 222% over the first half of the previous year before extraordinary item (Rs. 2.23 Cr.) and the PAT is of Rs. 4.28 Cr. The aforesaid results pertain to Business Communication Division only.
