Though the company records still mention Exicom of Australia
holding 38.54 percent stake, it is definite that Himachal Exicom has become a
100 percent subsidiary of HFCL Group without dropping Exicom’s name. Exicom is
reported to have closed down its operation in Australia. The company has
reported a profit of 17 percent in comparison to last year. The growth in
turnover was 4.16 percent.
The company has a production facility at Solan and ISO 9002
certified for Quality Management Systems. It basically caters to network
operators.
With the basic telephony gaining a momentum with three service providers
having started services in three state circles, Himachal Exicom is planning to
encash on this opportunity by currently focussing on payphone business as its
major revenue earners in the years to come. Major clients include DoT, MTNL,
Alcatel Modi, Bharti Cellular, Siemens, Fujitsu, Ericsson, and DSS Mobile
Communications.
