Panasonic launches toughbook range

Panasonic has unveiled four new ruggedized mobile computing devices called toughbook range for highly mobile workforce in automotive, aviation, telecom, utility, retail, manufacturing, and logistics vertical.

The company has launched Toughpad FZ-G1, is ideal for mobile workers, combining highly secured data and device management with the seamless connectivity and enterprise-grade technology businesses and government agencies require.

Pansonic also launched the Toughpad JT-B1 is a seven-inch ruggedized Android table tdesigned for easy one-handed operation. With a rugged MIL-STD-810G design for mission-critical and highly mobile workers in fields such as the military, construction, healthcare, public safety, utilities, retail, maintenance, supply chain logistics and insurance.

Toughpad tablets deliver reliable performance under circumstances that render typical tablets non-operational like drops, fluid ingress and exposure to extreme temperature. And also high bright LCD screen and long battery operating time with user-replaceable battery give high usability to field users.

Besides Toughpad , company also launched JT-H300 and JT-H320HT rugged handheld computers are based on Panasonic's "TSA (Total Shock Absorbing) design" developed with its over 30 years' experience in the logistics industry.

The Panasonic rugged handheld computers can withstand tough working conditions to enable business to be conducted without interruption. Compact and light-weight, these handheld computers have been designed for easy one-handed operation.

The price of Toughpad FZ-G1 is at Rs 175,000 (excluding taxes),Toughpad JT-B1is at Rs 69,000 (excluding taxes), JT-H300 handheld computer is at Rs 60,000 (excluding taxes) and JT-H320HT costs is Rs 40,000 (excluding taxes).

Manish Sharma, managing director, Panasonic India, said, "Having done extremely well in the consumer business, Panasonic India now has a renewed focus on the B2B and B2G business. Today's launch of mobile computing devices is a significant stepping stone towards our aim of doubling the contribution of B2B segment to Panasonic's overall revenue by 2015."
