Nokia's former India head joins Pepsi as CEO

Nokia India's most popular face in India D Shiv Kumar has joined PepsiCo as its chairman and CEO for its India market. The announcement was made on Monday along with some other senior level appointments.

"Shiv is a natural leader," said Sanjeev Chadha, CEO - PepsiCo AMEA "He is known to be a great coach and mentor who inspires people to do their best and overcome challenges with a smile on their face."

Shivakumar was managing director at Nokia India before taking over as the handset maker's senior vice-president for India, Middle East and Africa in 2011.

The post was vacant since last June.
