Micromax launches 10 inch tablet in Indian market

Adding to its existing mobility devices portfolio,Indian handset manufacturer Micromax on Friday launched a 10 inch tablet in the Indian market.The tablet runs on android 4.0 OS, and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor.

Among other features, the tablet branded as Funbook Pro, comes packed with 5600 mAh battery, an expandable memory capacity upto 32 GB and a front VGA camera. Continuing in its effort to provide educational content to its users, Micromax has partnered with book publication house McGraw Hill for digital content. The company has existing content sharing partnership with Pearson, Vriti and Everonn.

Besides the tablet, the company also launched two new smartphones in the Indian market. Both the phones, Superfone A90 and Canvas A100, are dual phones and runs on the latest android os -Ice Cream Sandwich. The A90 comes with 4.3inch super-AMOLED touch screen with 800*480 pixel resolution, 1 GHz processor and an 8 megapixel camera. The Canvas A100 comes with 1GHz dual core processor, 5 megapixel camera and with a 5 inch display.

The A90 and A100 are priced at Rs 12,990 and Rs 9990 respectively, where as the tablet is priced at Rs 9,999.
