Network Systems (HNS) has maintained its leadership in India for

the fourth consecutive year by netting a turnover of Rs 59.35

crore, registering a growth of 63 percent. However, in numbers,

HNS is behind Gilat in VSATs while HNS has done well on the

shared hub front.

In India the company is

represented by Hughes Escorts Communications Ltd, which is

presently focusing to offer complete solutions for data, voice,

intranet, and Internet applications to corporates.

The company has more than

50 percent market share (VSATs installed worldwide) and in India

it has around 31 percent. It installed 1,265 VSATs last fiscal.

Recently, HNS closed the important deal of Skumars.com for

50,000 VSATs that will help the company in retaining the #1

position for couple of years. Being the largest VSAT order

worldwide, it is planning to have equity in Skumars.com.

The significant deals that brought in HNS's

revenue were Airports Authority of India, Philips, Crompton

Greaves, UCO Bank, Nokia Pvt Ltd, Bank of Maharashtra, J&K

Bank, Ramco Systems, and RBMN Ltd.
