The group of ministers (GoM) on telecom may dial the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) before considering any action against Reliance Infocomm for alleged licence violations. While TRAI has given Reliance Infocomm a clean chit, it is the Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC) which feels the company violated its basic service licence conditions by offering WLL-mobility beyond the SDCA. However, Reliance maintains that "it (the company) has not violated its licence conditions". Key members of the GoM have already apprised deputy prime minister LK Advani on the legal complexities of the limited mobility issue in the run-up to the GoM's October 12 meeting.
