G Five mobiles unveils 3G handsets in India

G Five Mobiles will unveil 3G handsets and smartphones in the first quarter of 2011 to tap the potential of India.market. Around four to five 3G handsets and smartphones will be introduced at a competitive prices. The company is working intensely to kick off a mobile manufacturing unit in India. At present the company manufactures most of its handsets in China.

The company's future strategies for Indian market include setting up a research and development unit, launching tablets and netbooks. G'Five had a 10.6 per cent market share in terms of shipment for the quarter ended September 30, 2010, according to research firm IDC . It sold 10 million handsets in the year 2010.
