Ericsson to Develop Wireless Applications in India

GurukulOnline Wireless Solutions (GOWS), a unit of GurukulOnline Learning Solutions has entered into partnership with Ericsson Mobility World to develop wireless applications. The two companies would be sharing their strengths and technical expertise to develop killer applications for the Mobile Internet market. Mayank Thakkar, Business head, GOLS said, "We have already developed and deployed turnkey solutions deployed for leading cellular telecommunication companies such as Orange, MTNL and Yahoo and this partnership with Ericsson will enable us to develop new applications for the emerging telecom sector in India." GurukulOnline Wireless division will develop new applications for Ericsson’s GPRS and 3G implementations in India. GOWS has already developed a number of SMS and WAP based applications. GurukulOnline Wireless Solutions & Ericsson will jointly market these applications.

GOWS has also developed application ‘M-office’ for corporate users, which allows employees of a corporate to access their mail, address book, receive and send attachment and also access other vital information via SMS or WAP gateway. Users can even segregate their mails based on the individual’s job profile. For instance, should the user want to send mails
specifically to the marketing dept the same is possible today using the M-Office tool. 

GOWS provides Mobile Internet solutions based on WAP, SMS and Bluetooth applications. This division has also developed solutions that enable people to access critical information while on the move anytime, anywhere.
