The new router is an advanced version of previously launched DX-924U-ARO Router.

DX-924UI-ARO is integrated with four LAN 10/100 ports, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n LAN, additional 10/100 WAN port and an USB port for supporting CDMA/3G/4G/LTE (Code division multiple access/ Long-term evolution). USB dongles from multiple ISP's can be used and the drivers are in-built.

The router comes with various enterprise class routing protocols like L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server, IPSEC (Internet Protocol Security), GRE (Generic Routing Encapsulation) tunnels, NAT (Network Address Translation) and auto backup connection for 3G/4G.

The router supports IPSEC VPN tunnel with highest encryption standards that ensure secure VPN tunnel between locations, making this router an ideal solution for connecting to the head office, through secure tunnel over broadband. This router also supports L2TP and GRE tunneling. The VPN tunneling is the key differentiator and stands out when compared to traditional broadband routers which just support VPN pass through.

The critical requirement of back-up is made easy with the second WAN via USB. DX-924UI-ARO supports the auto failover and rollback of the primary link terminated on the WAN Ethernet. When the primary link fails, the backup link is initiated via CDMA/3G/4G/LTE. This also supports Internet and VPN fail over.

DX-924UI-ARO supports bandwidth management and allows setting priority among the applications and offers optimum quality of service. The router can be managed and controlled by any SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) based management platform.

DX-924UI-ARO also supports enhanced security features like embedded firewall, prevention of DoS (denial-of-service attack), packet filtering, MAC (Media Access Control) filtering, URL filtering and domain filtering. The router also secures Wi-Fi with the WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy), WPA/WPA2 encryption standards. These features ensure required access control in the network. The WPS (Web Processing Service) button in the router helps users activate the security features.

DX-924UI-ARO comes with a 1-year carry-in warranty and online support for customers. Dax plans to market this product through its network of Authorized Dax Solution Providers (ADSPs) and system integrators. The wireless router is priced at Rs 21,700 and is an ideal solution for enterprise branch offices.
