D-Link, Keltron Tie-up for Networking Products

The public sector Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (KELTRON) and D-Link, a company dealing in networking technology, have entered into an agreement to bring the latest in networking technology products to Kerala. D-Link had detailed discussion with the PK Kunhalikutty, Kerala Industries Minister prior to signing of the agreement.

D-LINK is looking towards Kerala as a destination for future investment. Prabodh Vyas, Director-Sales-India & SAARC, D-Link and V Ramkumar, Executive Director, KELTRON, in the presence of Kunhalikutty signed the memorandum for a Strategic Partnership. With this tie-up, KELTRON would have enhanced capability in networking to offer advanced network solutions based on Voice over IP, Wireless and Gigabyte Over Optical Fiber. The customers of KELTRON, would now benefit from the lower pricing, assured long-term support and customization to suit specific requirements. KELTRON would be supported directly from the manufacturing and R&D facilities of D-link located in Goa and Bangalore. D-Link, the only multi-national networking company to have its manufacturing facility in India, would also be offering free training to important customers of
KELTRON. 

D-Link, in turn, would leverage on the system-integration strengths of KELTRON and the expertise of KELTRON's Networking Group to offer end-to-end networking solutions in the state. This is the first major partnership of D-Link in Kerala and follows closely on the heels of its tie-ups with the Nodal IT Agencies in Andhra Pradesh, Karanataka and West Bengal to enable the e-governance initiatives of these governments. D-Link has also identified KELTRON as a fast-growing PC manufacturer in India, and will soon be offering its latest technology PC Motherboards to it on an Original-Equipment Manufacturer basis.
