Airbee Enters Chennai, Eyes Acquisitions

Airbee (a developer of software for the wireless communications) has set up an R&D facility in Chennai. It will house 60 engineers with electronic engineering or RF engineering background. The company's products would comply with ZigBee/802.15.4 or 802.15.3 WPAN standards. The facility has been set up with an initial investment of one million dollars, and another million dollars are slated for the coming 12 months. In an exclusive chat with CyberMedia News, Richard Sommerfeld, CFO of Airbee said that the company is looking for acquiring those Indian companies that develop wireless ZigBee complaint software products. Airbee also has a designing center in Singapore.
