The network will deliver a brand-new fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) experience enabled by a high-speed Internet, ushering Algerie Telecom's home access service into the 100M+ era.

Under the agreement, ZTE will provide Alegerie Telecom with an end-to-end turnkey service within one year, helping the operator design and build an active FTTx architecture while also offering network management services.

The project will enable the operator to upgrade its business model by offering more innovative and customized services. Users will be able to connect to the Internet via mobile devices, computers, TVs and set-top boxes (STBs). Diverse broadband services will be made available to users anytime and anywhere.

ZTE is a forerunner in the optical access space with a wealth of experience in FTTx construction and a portfolio of FTTx products and solutions that have been widely employed across the globe. According to the worldwide market share report for fixed-network products released by research firm IHS in July, ZTE ranked No. 1 for 10G PON sales and No. 2 for PON revenue in Q1 2017.
