Zen Mobile launches its first smartphone

Zen Mobile today launched its first smartphone U1 in the Indian market. It is a dual SIM smartphone running on Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The new device features 8.89-cm (3.5-inch) display and is bundled with 1 GHz processor. Zen Mobile U1 sports a 3.2 MP camera along with flash and offer connectivity options like GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP etc. The U1 is a thin and compact device built with battery life of 1200mAh. The smartphone comes pre-loaded with applications like Skype, Facebook and G-talk. It is also incorporated with Map My India mapping software. 'U1 is one of the top of the ladder innovations from Zen Mobiles and reaffirms our business tenet of getting best of technology to the end consumers at affordable rates.' said Deepesh Gupta, MD of Zen Mobile. The new smartphone is available at Rs 4,999.
