Domestic telecom operator, Videocon Telecom on Monday said that it targets to generate Rs 2, 500 crore revenue from the four circles like Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh/Chhattisgarh and Gujarat by 2014-15 fiscal.
"We will be doing business of around Rs 1,000 crore this year in the four circles and by next financial year, we will be aiming at Rs 2,500 crore," said Arvind Bali, director and CEO of Videocon Telecom.
The company has spectrum in seven circles, but only four circles are offering services currently.
According to the report, Videocon Mobile Services is now revamped into Videocon Telecom. The company is planning to spend Rs 150 crore in the next one year on marketing to popularise its new brand.
"We are investing a lot on marketing, acquiring new customers...," Bali said.
The company is waiting of its approval from the board to launch its services in circles of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh East and Uttar Pradesh West. The services are expected to start its operations in six to eight months after the approval.
The company also plans to launch fourth generation (4G) services by July-August in 2014.
