Vodafone rolls out Superfast 3G services in Rajasthan

NEW DELHI: India’s second largest wireless operator by subscribers, Vodafone India has begun the roll-out of its Superfast 3G services on its own 3G network in Rajasthan.

Built on the superior 2100 MHz, this modern and technology efficient 3G will offer the people of Rajasthan a faster, smarter and better mobile internet experience with good speeds and seamless connectivity.

The company has already built over 1100 cell sites across Rajasthan and will continue to expand in a phased manner and complete the roll out of 3G on its own network across the state by Feb 2016.

Presently, telco has been providing 3G services to its customers in Rajasthan through intra-circle roaming arrangements with other operators.

Vodafone, as part of its own 3G network roll-out has now covered key areas like Jodhpur, Sikar, Alwar, Ajmer, Kota, Bikaner & Jaipur and will continue to expand its footprint covering the entire region in a phased manner. Today, Vodafone has more than 11.7mn customers in Rajasthan; the data users are growing as more and more customers are adopting mobile internet services.

The service provider 3G will enhance the service experience such as multimedia, high speed mobile broadband, internet access with the ability to view video footage on one’s mobile handset.

Also, with a 3G enabled smartphone and access to the superfast Vodafone 3G network, one can avail HD Voice, make video calls, watch live TV, access the high speed internet, download large email attachments faster and download music tracks, over and above the usual voice and messaging services.

“With the launch of our own 3G network, our valued customers across the state can now avail faster, smarter, better speeds and superior data browsing experience at the existing 3G tariffs . We are confident that our customers will enjoy superfast internet experience on the go and this will facilitate faster mobile internet adoption,” said Amit Bedi, Business Head-Rajasthan, Vodafone India.

As part of its strategy to democratize data, Vodafone India has been focusing on closer engagement with customers to use mobile internet, and educating current and potential users about how internet can add significant value to them.
