Durga Puja

KOLKATA: Vodafone India along with a renowned NGO “The Bengal” celebrated this Durga Puja in Kolkata by flagging off a special bus for senior citizens from the “Little Sisters of the Poor”.

Vodafone India in the presence of the legendary Tabla player Bickram Ghosh and film director and actor Arindam Sil flagged-off this bus which took the senior citizens pandal-hopping on the day of Chaturthi to the five pandals in North Kolkata including Chalta Bagan Durgotsav.

Anand Sahai, Business Head – Kolkata & West Bengal, Vodafone India, said, “As a value-based organization, we at Vodafone, believe in enriching the lives of all segments of society. Over the years, this activity has instilled a commitment within us to conduct such programmes more often and this is the third year of this program. It has always been a very humbling experience to see how little things make a huge difference to the senior citizens. We also thank Bickram Ghosh and Arindam Sil to come forward and join hands with us for this noble initiative and making Durga Puja a special one for the senior citizens.”
