Usha Shriram to launch mobile phones;targets Rs 720 crore sales in 2016

NEW DELHI: New Delhi-based consumer durable company Usha Shriram said that  it will launch a range of smartphones and feature phones by February-end to foray into India's mobile phone markets.

Consumer durables maker  company would primarily focus on tier II & III markets in the country with its GSM and CDMA phones whose prices would range between Rs 700 and Rs 10,000.

Initially, the company plans to launch 6 feature phones and 4 Smart Phones with a frequency of adding 3-4 new models every month. The company is known for developing innovative products and it has its own in-house design center headed by NID designers/engineers.
