The multi-year, multi-million Euro deal is a new agreement building on an existing contract that was awarded to Tech Mahindra by Ahlstrom three years ago. Earlier this year, Ahlstrom and Munksjö announced their merger creating a global leader in sustainable and innovative fiber-based solutions.

As per the new contract, Tech Mahindra will assist Ahlstrom-Munksjö in its digital transformation journey, with end-to-end IT services and solutions including IT user support, infrastructure management and application support using next generation digital and automation tools and technologies. Besides, approximately 25 employees of Ahlstrom-Munksjö are expected to be transferred to Tech Mahindra as per the agreement.

“The new enhanced task assigned to us to provide a digitally-enabled future IT for the combined entity of Ahlstrom-Munksjo is a huge recognition of the technological depth and the IT plus business process improvements which Tech Mahindra has been able to deliver to the erstwhile Ahlstrom for the past three years in our journey together,” said Rajesh Chandiramani, Head of Continental Europe at Tech Mahindra.

“We are extremely excited and honored to be chosen as a trusted digital transformation partner and keen to provide the best of the breed technology solutions, innovative services, automation tools and digital solutions as Ahlstrom-Munksjö gears up for their new phase of journey. Our deep rooted manufacturing strengths and our investments in to the digital technologies backed by focus on D.A.V.I.D (Digitalization, Automation, Verticalization, Innovation and Disruption) would be an immense value to this longer term engagement,” he added.
