The only bidder for the 4G deployment by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will be Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The final bid deadline has been moved further by the government-owned telco from November 16 to November 18 now. TCS would be the only Indian business that could assist BSNL in bringing out 4G immediately, therefore it would make sense that it would be the only bidder for the project. The Proof-of-Concept (PoC) required for the Chandigarh 4G rollout was finished last month by TCS and BSNL.

Due to the increase in the price of chipsets and components, TCS had to adjust the pricing of network equipment supply. Given the worldwide supply chain's global restrictions, this was inevitable. TCS would support BSNL's nationwide rollout of 4G at about 100,000 sites. The winning bidder would also be required to maintain the BSNL network for roughly ten years.

According to an ET Telecom article, TCS is completing the lengthy bit on the documentation, but the proposal will be presented within the next two days as expected. The report further stated that the cost has already been discussed between the two businesses. BSNL is anticipated to roll-out 4G networks in India towards the beginning of 2023, as things finally see to be moving in the direction of certain outcomes for BSNL.

To purchase equipment for for around 6400 stations that would later be deployed on the 2100 MHz and 900 MHz frequency bands, BSNL had earlier this year placed an order with TCS.

The Center for Development of Telematics(C-Dot) would supply the 4G core. This core, which the organisation created independently, would guarantee that the entire BSNL 4G network is indigenous.Network equipment would be provided by Tejas Networks. It's important to note here that Tata Group just acquired a majority interest in Tejas Networks.
