Routesms hires Jeroen Weijenberg as Europe Managing Director

NEW DELHI: Mumbai-based Routesms Solutions has appointed Jeroen (Jerry) Weijenberg as Managing Director- Europe, Routesms Soltuions.

Based out of the London office, Jerry will be responsible for building up the European sales and operations team.

Jerry has over 15 years of experience in the mobile industry of which he spent the last 9 years living and working in Singapore.

Jerry started his telecom career in 2001 at Telfort in the Netherlands and helped set up the SMS wholesale department. Telfort was one of the first MNOs to wholesale SMS both nationally and more importantly internationally.

He then joined Golden Bytes (Dutch aggregator) in 2004 to set up their SMS Wholesale department as well as push their premium SMS services across Europe, Asia and the US.

In 2006 Jerry Joined Mach/End2End (later Syniverse) and established the connectivity business unit in Singapore where he managed the sales team across Asia, India and the Middle East. For the past 2 years Jerry has been managing the global sales team for Silverstreet out of their Singapore office.
