Route Mobile buys Cellent Technologies

NEW DELHI: Mumbai-based Route Mobile has announced that it has acquired its 14-year-old competitor Cellent Technologies.

Headquartered in Mumbai, Cellent was part of the Goel Group, has a presence in the A2P messaging markets of the Middle East and Africa.

More than 250 customers and a team of over 30 people are now part of Route Mobile’s family as part this acquisition.

This is in line with Route Mobile’s strategy of pursuing inorganic growth to reach a wider set of enterprise customers as well as broaden its portfolio of products and services.

Globally, too, the A2P (application-to-peer) messaging market is seeing consolidation with Sweden’s CLX Technologies acquiring Mblox and Vonage buying Nexmo.
