Reliance Telecom to demerge its operations in five circles back into RCom

NEW DELHI: Reliance Telecom Ltd (RTL), a wholly-owned unit of Reliance Communications, has said that the Board of Directors (BoD) have approved  for demerger of its operations in five circles back into Reliance Communications (RCom) which will allow customers to avail seamless 3G and 4G services.

Reliance Telecom offers GSM cellular services in Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar, Assam, Kolkata, and North East service areas in India.

"We wish to inform you that the Board of Directors at its meeting held today has approved a Scheme of Arrangement between the Company and Reliance Telecom Limited (RTL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, for demerger of Telecom Undertaking consisting of 5 License Service Area of RTL into the Company, subject to requisite approvals. ," the company informed Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
