Recharge mobile, internet, DTH with a missed call

Shankar Raja M P has set up Munkey Communications and launched www.munkey.in, an online billing solution portal in April. The portal takes care of all pre-paid recharge requirements for its registered customers at zero processing fee.

At present, the portal supports pre-paid recharging services. The company will soon introduce post-paid mobile bill, landlines and utility bill payment in a single platform. For post-paid mobiles, electricity bills, gas, landline bills, there will be a 2.25% processing charges. "We are planning to add, at least 1 new service every month for the next 1 year," said Shankar Raja M P.

The USP of Munkey.in are mobile recharge through missed call, cash pickups in selected cities, schedule recharge for e-wallet customers, special Munkey merchandise and goodies. It supports all the top Indian telecom service providers including Vodafone, Airtel, Reliance, Idea, Tata Indicom, Aircel, Loop Mobile, Uninor, MTNL, MTS and BSNL, DTH service providers such as Dish TV, Reliance, Sun DTH, Tata Sky, Videocon, and Virgin.

Shankar Raja M P added, "We have taken the safety measures by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to prevent information from being intercepted through the network and to keep account information safe and prevent fraud."

It also offers 'Travel Forex' option, through which one can convert foreign currency over a click with the best rates through RBI approved agents. And the assigned agent would pick up money at no additional cost.

Referring to customers response, Shankar Raja M P pointed out, "Customers are more excited with Missed Call recharge as, they are using this as emergency call facility for recharging their mobile. We expect to add at least 1 million client base in FY14"
