Oppo’s R5 priced at Rs 29,990

New Delhi: Chinese handset maker OPPO has launched 4G-enabled smartphone R5 for the Indian market, which is priced at Rs 29,990.

OPPO R5 will be available for pre-booking from January 1, 2015 onwards.

The smartphone measures 4.85 mm in width and weighs 155 g and is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8939, and a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen.

OPPO claims that R5 is the world’s first smartphone that uses phase-change material, keeping it at a constant cool temperature whilst maintaining superior functionality.

The R5’s patented heat dissipation technology “Cool Element” protects its octa-core CPU, in turn prolonging the life of the phone, a statement said.

It comes with a 13 MP rear camera and the PI 2.0 Plus Flash Shot technology.
