Datavision will work in collaboration with MEF service providers and vendors to establish practical end-to-end services for the automation of Third Network services.

For more than fifteen years, Datavision has provided a wide range of consulting and IT staff outsourcing services for clients ranging from Tier 1 service providers to large enterprises. Recently Datavision has supported MEF’s work in the development of Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) solutions and standards in support of MEF’s industry efforts to enable dynamic, assured and orchestrated CE 2.0 and Layer 3 Internet Protocol services.

Datavision recently contributed to the overall architectural design and YANG model development for the first ever multi-site OpenStack orchestration platform solution launched at MEF GEN15 in partnership with CPLANE NETWORKS. The solution manages all of the physical and virtual compute resources across multiple distributed OpenStack Data Centers from a single pane of glass. YANG is a standard data modelling language for network configuration protocols developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and published in 2010.

“We are very excited to be embraced by the MEF as a new member and to be involved in helping service providers and vendors develop customised solutions that will automate the network under a common API and SDN-centric approach, and assist in the industry transition to SDN- and NFV-based networks," said Mark Abolafia, Vice President and SDN Practice Lead at Datavision.

“The MEF is pleased to welcome Datavision as a new member and we look forward to the company playing an important role in advancing LSO initiatives. Datavision’s hands on knowledge of operational processes and focus on automating the delivery of network services are a great fit with the MEF’s vision for enabling agile, assured, and orchestrated services over automated and virtualized networks powered by LSO, SDN, and NFV," said Nan Chen, President of the MEF.
