iPhone 12 and above to get JioTrue5G support from today

Users in India who own an iPhone with Bharti Airtel or Reliance Jio network can now connect to the 5G network.

Reliance Jio today announced that users of iPhone 12 and above will now be able to access the Jio True 5G services with unlimited data, starting today.

Jio also mentioned in the statement that these users need to update to the latest iPhone iOS and carrier settings. The company said it had provided Jio Welcome Offer on users' numbers to enable unlimited 5G usage.

With the newly released iOS 16.2 stable version, 5G functionality is finally being made for iPhones in India. Users in India who own an iPhone with Bharti Airtel or Reliance Jio network can now connect to the 5G network. However, using 5G services on an iPhone can slightly vary from using an Android smartphone in terms of user experience. Due to the addition of 5G support for iPhones in the country, it is critical for customers to comprehend the various 5G data modes and other features they may encounter on their handsets.

How to setup your iPhone for Jio True 5G:

In order to use a Jio 5G connection on your iPhone 12 model or later, you will need to update to the latest iPhone iOS and carrier settings:

1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Software Update and update to the latest iOS version.

2. Next, go to Settings > General > About and if prompted follow the steps to update to the latest carrier settings.

3. To use a Jio 5G connection, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Voice & Data > and select 5G AUTO as well as 5G Standalone ON

4.Then go to Settings > Battery > Turn OFF Low Power Mode
