The second iteration of the Indian Space Conclave 2023 has been announced by the Indian Space Association (ISpA), an occasion intended to promote innovation, teamwork, and strategic alliances within the quickly developing space industry. The Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi is now hosting this yearly three-day event from October 9 through October 11, 2023.

The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ISpA and GIFAS, the French Aerospace Industries Association, is one of the significant milestones that the event witnessed.

This agreement is anticipated to strengthen collaboration between the two Associations, with the main objective of improving understanding of the capabilities of the space sector. It also seeks to increase public awareness of promising commercial opportunities in both France and India's space industries.

The Indian Space Conclave 2023, according to the official announcement, is being graced by eminent luminaries from the Indian and French space sectors, highlighting its global relevance.

Thierry Mathou, who will soon be serving as France's ambassador to India, astronaut Thomas Pesquet, who will be representing the European Space Agency (ESA), senior vice president of sales and marketing Stephane Vesval, former governor of Chhattisgarh Shekhar Dutt (SM Retd. ), defence secretary and deputy national security adviser Jayant Patil, and others will be present at the event.

Following the conclave, 24 exhibitors from top space startups and academic institutions will hold a 3-day exhibition to display their goods and services.

In recent years, the Indo-French space collaboration has accomplished important milestones. Both countries have joined forces to support India's ambitious Gaganyaan human spaceflight programme, with France providing CNES flight equipment and making contributions in the areas of space medicine and astronaut health. Another big step will be made by France's participation in the forthcoming ISRO Venus mission in 2025, which will open up new opportunities for global cooperation in space exploration. Additionally, both nations vowed to improve cooperation between respective startup ecosystems, encouraging innovation in the space industry.
