In May 2023, Reliance Jio added wireless subscribers in all circles but one

In May 2023, Jio's wireless subscriber base increased by a total of 3.03 million subscribers

Reliance Jio Wireless users are still being added by Jio briskly. Jio added cellular consumers in all circles except one in May 2023, according to the most recent TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) report. Jio's wireless customers declined only in the West Bengal circle. The number of Jio subscribers in the circle was 22,921,038 or 22.92 million in April 2023, but that figure decreased slightly by 1,587 subscribers to 22,919,451 or 22.91 million users in May.

In May 2023, Jio's wireless subscriber base increased by a total of 3.03 million subscribers. Airtel saw a 1.32 million customer increase at the same time that Vodafone Idea (Vi) and BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) saw 2.81 million and 1.47 million cellular subscriber declines, respectively. Jio also added the most wireline subscribers throughout the month, outpacing its rivals.

Utilising the JioFiber brand, Reliance Jio added 0.32 million or 3,25,336 million wireline users. Reliance Jio's strong rival Bharti Airtel added 0.12 million, or 1,25,586 wireline users. There were other players besides Airtel and Jio who added wired consumers. Tata Tele, Quadrant, and V-Con Mob & Infra Pvt Ltd all saw increases of 17,349 users, 6453 users, and 99 users, respectively.

In terms of market share for wireless consumers at the end of May 2023, Jio was in first place with 38.17% share, Airtel was in second place with 32.57% share, Vodafone Idea was in third place with 20.20% share, and BSNL was in last place with 8.88% share. Once 4G is officially introduced, BSNL is anticipated to reclaim some of its lost market share.

Jio increased its active subscribers by 4.9 million during the course of the month. In comparison to the opposition, it can be called a good addition. During the month, Airtel added 2.37 million active users. As for Vodafone Idea and BSNL, respectively, these two players lost 1.99 million and 0.49 million active consumers.
