IMC 2017: Airtel to invest Rs 20,000 crore in digital infrastructure says Mittal

At India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2017, Bharti Airtel's chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal said that his company will invest up to Rs 20,000 crore this year in digital infrastructure.

NEW DELHI: At India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2017, Bharti Airtel's chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal said that his company will invest up to Rs 20,000 crore this year in digital infrastructure.

The three days event kicked off at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi today.

"The telecom industry is offering “yeoman service” and infusing large amounts of money in strengthening infrastructure. Airtel will invest Rs18,000-Rs20,000 crore this year, he said, adding that the industry overall will be injecting Rs50-60,000 crore to build digital infrastructure," said Mittal at event.
