Idea hits record with 1,000 customer service centres across Maharashtra, Goa

Mumbai: Idea Cellular has achieved a landmark 1,000 customer service centres in Maharashtra and Goa.

Servicing over two crore subscribers in the region, Idea has revamped its customer service delivery systems and expanded customer touch points. It has added new format stores and service centres catering to evolving mobile consumers' needs for faster data services. Idea currently has 3G coverage in over 5,000 towns and villages in Maharashtra and Goa, a company statement said.

Out of the 1,000 showrooms in the region, 300 centres cater to prepaid and post-paid subscribers in the urban market and are one stop shops offering all Idea products and services. The remaining 700 service centres provide services to prepaid customers in semi- urban and rural market, in addition to having the facility for postpaid subscribers to deposit their bills.

Service executives at these centres are trained to assist customers with plans and settings for 3G services and provide them with the best mobile internet experience in the region.
