Here comes Microsoft's cheapest Lumia device!

NEW DELHI: After launching a range of Lumia devices, Microsoft devices has launched its cheapest ever handset in the series--Lumia 430, priced at Rs 5,299.

The dual-sim smartphone has a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) LCD display and sports a 2MP primary camera along with a VGA secondary camera.

Powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and 1GB RAM, Lumia 430 offers 8GB of internal storage and can support microSD cards of up to 128GB.

The smartphone comes with 30GB of free OneDrive cloud storage and users on a Vodafone connection will be provided with 500 MB of free data per month for two months.

Lumia 430 runs Windows Phone 8.1 and is upgradable to Windows 10 once it is rolled out. The phone packs a replaceable 1500mAh battery.

On the connectivity front, the phone offers support for 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

To demonstrate the the Lumia 430 experience to consumers, Microsoft Devices has conceptualized ‘Knockout on Wheels’ – an initiative that will challenge consumers for a face-off between their existing smartphone and the newly launched Lumia 430.

Consumers will be asked to perform the most common operations on the Lumia 430 as well as their existing phones, to showcase the hardware and software of the windows operating system and the Lumia 430. Being flagged off from Delhi, the Lumia Knockout van will travel to over 200 cities across the country taking the Windows Phone experience to tier 2, tier 3 and tier 4 towns for the first time.
