Guo Ping is new rotating, acting CEO of Huawei

NEW DELHI: Chinese telecoms equipment giant Huawei said that Guo Ping is new rotating and acting CEO of Huawei till September 30th 2017.

"Guo Ping is Rotating and Acting CEO of Huawei from April 1st 2017 to September 30th 2017," a statement said.

The Rotating and Acting CEO acts as the primary person of the company's operations and crisis management during his tenure, and is responsible for convening and chairing the meetings of Board of Directors' Executive Committee and the company's Executive Management Team.

Born in 1966, Mr. Guo holds a master’s degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Guo joined Huawei in 1988 and has served as an R&D project manager, General Manager of Supply Chain, Director of Huawei Executive Office, Chief Legal Officer, President of the Business Process & IT Mgmt Dept, President of the Corporate Development Dept, Chairman and President of Huawei Device, Deputy Chairman of the Board, Rotating CEO, and Chairman of the Finance Committee.
