Google launches new Areo App to cater India’s hyper local market

BENGALURU: Google has explored an opportunity in India’s hyper local market. The search engine giant has launched a new Android app called Areo.

Areo aims to tap on the expanding online food delivery business in the country. The free app that offers home services along with food deliveries is currently limited to Bengaluru and Mumbai.

Google Areo features a host of service providers including restaurants, chefs, local electricians, painters, cleaners, plumbers, and more. The app further allows both digital payment and cash on delivery. Furthermore, one can schedule their services as per convenience.
