Ericsson appoints Peter as head, Vodafone's global customer unit

Effective July 1, 2013, Peter Laurin is appointed head of Ericsson's Global Customer Unit Vodafone, reporting to head of Region Western & Central Europe, Anders Runevad.

Peter will be a member of the region's leadership team as well as a member of Ericsson's Global Leadership Team.

Peter Laurin joined Ericsson 12 years ago and has worked in various executive roles and has broad experience from different areas of the company. Since 2010 he has been head of Customer Unit T-Mobile in Region North America,

"I welcome Peter to the global leadership team and his role in the Vodafone Global Customer Unit," says president and CEO Hans Vestberg.

He has a wide experience from many different parts of Ericsson and our operations across the world. This will be an important part in supporting Vodafone in reaching their goals added Vestberg.

Laurin also has strong ties to Ericsson's services business as well as support solutions business, having been responsible for managed services in Western Europe and globally responsible for managed services hosting. Laurin also previously headed, business unit support solutions business in North America.

Peter Laurin succeeds Torbjörn Possne who will retire from Ericsson at the end of the year.

"Torbjörn has been a key player in building Ericsson's success for more than 30 years. With his strong business acumen and experience from a range of senior positions in the company, Torbjörn has been a highly appreciated member of the global leadership team. I wish him all the best as he retires from an operational role," Vestberg said.
