ECI Telecom announced that its flagship Hi-FOCuS MSAN platform now supports
over one million IPTV subscribers worldwide, covering Western and Eastern
Europe, Israel and Taiwan. Top tier carriers rely on ECI's highly scalable, edge
to access broadband solution for advanced IP video services.
"ECI has been a leader in the IPTV market in Europe and Asia from the
start, and we rated it as the number two IPTV access company globally in 2006
with 18 percent market share," stated Bob Larribeau, Principal Analyst at
TelecomView. ECI's carrier-class Hi-FOCuS MSAN helps carriers deliver IPTV with
advanced multicast capabilities, effectively providing any service- such as
voice, data and video services - on any architecture and over any technology,
including copper and fiber. With its industry leading QoS, security and high
capacity capabilities, and field-proven scalability, the Hi-FOCuS MSAN is the
ideal broadband access platform to support IPTV deployments.
The Hi-FOCuS' unique capabilities include multi-mode multicast support, which
