New Update

Yes, many congratulations Bharti airtel. For taking us to the next generation of mobile services. For giving us hands on experience on 4G that lets us dream of data transmission at highest speed-upto 100 Mbps. You made a historical move on April 10th from a historical city, Kolkata, the city that holds a distinct place in the Indian telecom story. From here the first mobile call was made way back in 1995. And that was a 1.5G mobile communication call, and within a span of 17 years we have witnessed mobile communication excellence in the form of 4G. Thank You.

Bharti, you have brought many firsts to India as well as to the Indian telecommunications industry. You are the first private telecom company to offer mobile services, you are the first telecom company to go international to offer telecom services. And when you went public in 2002, you became the first company to register 100% book building issue. Adopting the outsourcing model as a catalyst to accelerate business was a first for the telecommunications industry. All this has always made us Indians expect many more 'firsts' from you and you delivered one just now-launching the country's first 4G service.

Aiming to be the world's most loved brand rather than the biggest company in the world shows the company's seriousness in offering quality services rather than just acquiring more and more customers. Quality comes first for you than quantity. It's only because of Bharti that the Indian telecommunications industry could add many success stories. The success of Indian telecom, a preferred example in the global arena, can undoubtedly be attributed to the Sunil Bharti Mittal led company.

With the launch of the much awaited 4G services, your customers, besides expecting to get rich content, super fast access to high definition (HD) video streaming, multiple chatting, and instant uploading of photos, expect quality, affordable service and quick redressal of their grievances. Your aim to bridge the digital divide and add to economic growth in rural areas by enhancing the reach of e-governance, e-health and e-education services, is what a country like India expects from the leader. However, as it is said, with great power comes great responsibility. Being number one comes with a great deal of binders. Though you have launched the 4G services on LTE technology and given Indian consumers many a dream, you have a long way to go in helping customers realize its actual potential.

The people, though very happy with the voice services being offered by various operators, are not upbeat about the 3G services from the same operators, including you. The launch of 4G has raised the bar, accelerated the thirst, to get more data centric services, with high speed data rate and without compromising quality. Standing on the #1 pedestal, Bharti can not be complacent. You have many miles to go, rather, run, and the country expects you to do it. The people are dreaming to realize the dream with you. Hopefully they will succeed.

But for the time being, congrats, once again.
