The government has reduced the capital ingraining into BSNL for FY23 to Rs 33,269 billion, at the same time maintaining the amount of the voluntary retirement programme being offered to employees of BSNL and MTNL at Rs 3,300 billion according to the Budget delivered by finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman today.

When BSNL , attempted to introduce 4G in the past, it encountered many difficulties. For BSNL, things seem different this time around. In February, the state-run telco may finally roll-out 4G.

The Indian government is trying to make sure that everything proceeds correctly and quickly. The BSNL 4G network has a lot to offer users in India. It might relieve pressure on private telecoms’ clogged 4G networks and improve user experience.

Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) is assisting BSNL with the nationwide rollout of 4G. According to reports, BSNL and TCS finished their 4G PoC in Chandigarh in October 2022.

If BSNL can quickly roll out 4G, it will also be able to swiftly roll out 5G as planned. BSNL aims to come out with its 5G sevices by August of 2023.

The government also wishes for BSNL to roll out 5G quickly and telecom minister Ashwani Vaishnaw has repeatedly stated that BSNL will do so in 2023. According to the telecom Minister, BSNL’s 5G service would go live on August 15, 2023.
