Bharti infratel Q3 sales at Rs 26,264 mn, up 8%

Bharti Infratel on Thursday posted revenues of Rs Rs 26, 264 mn for its third quarter ended December 31, 2012, an y-o-y increase of 8%. The company had posted a revenue of Rs 24, 243 mn for the corresponding period previous fiscal.

The company consolidated EBITDA improved from Rs 8, 961 mn to Rs 9,816 mn in the compared to the corresponding year. The net profit after tax came in at Rs 2, 541 mn and operating free cash flow for the quarter was at Rs 5, 494 mn.

By the end December 31, the company said it had a tower base of 81,389 along with 156,336 co-locations. The tenancy ratio for the tower for each tower stood at 1.92 for the reviewed period.

As a result, despite relatively low capex deployment by telecom operators last year due to uncertainties in telecom sector, our results reflect the significant incremental gains from increased sharing of our infrastructure.
