Please give a rundown of the equipments for which you
are conducting the field trial in India with Advanced Fiber System?
For the first time in India, FiberZone Networks and Advanced Fiber Systems
are introducing Automated Fiber Management model AFM-360. Automated Fiber
Management ensures seamless connectivity with such simplicity that the user
needs just an electronic browser for effective network management. Our AFM has a
unique and technologically advanced network management software from any web
browser which includes link testing, port identification and availability,
automatic fiber recovery, and general provisioning connectivity.
What are your marketing plans for AFM-360 in India?
The AFM Marketing initiatives involve test marketing for the Indian markets,
especially on the requests from the Indian telecom service providers. The field
and lab trials for the Indian markets are to ensure best practices and
technological adaptation for our Indian customers.
Please share your future plans for AFM-360?
The future plans are with respect to robustness, keeping in mind the growing
backhaul and metro networks in urban as well as rural parts of India. Indian
markets are best prepared for embracing technology in a changed regulatory
environment. Indian markets are ready for immediate and real-time network fiber
cut recovery through remote fiber fault localization testing
and troubleshooting, as well as automated fiber recovery switching.
What is your presence in the Indian market?
Our presence in the Indian markets is through our partner Advanced Fiber
Systems in Bengaluru, which is layer one fiber interconnect product manufacturer
for the leading telecom companies in India. AFS leverages its local knowledge of
the Indian markets with FiberZone Networks' global technical exposure to bring
out the most cost-effective solution for automated fiber network management in
India by doing field trials with top notch telecom service providers.
How do you think this market is likely to evolve in the coming years?
The market is evolving at a fast pace with more telecom service providers
coming into the picture, additional telecom towers and a growth in fiber
connectivity for broadband for Indian customers. This growth in telecom
infrastructure and NLD will drive the economy as well. FiberZone Networks from
Israel and Advanced Fiber Systems from India are together bullish about the
optical fiber market and the automation of the network for the best flow of
information and data. This market sensing and lab testing process gives way to
further field trials in India; and a product launch with complete feature
customization just for the Indian market at a later stage.
