Amar Babu & Debjani Ghosh to lead MAIT

MAIT, the apex body representing India’s IT hardware, training and R&D services sectors, appointed its new President, Amar Babu, Managing Director, Lenovo India and the new Vice- President, Debjani Ghosh, Managing Director (Sales & Marketing), Intel South Asia, during its 30th Annual General Meeting for the term of 2013- 14. 

A Management Post Graduate from XLRI, Jamshedpur, Amar Babu holds an Engineering degree in Electrical & Electronics from PSG Tech, Coimbatore. Hehas over 17 years of experience with more than 10 years in various leadership roles. He was serving as the Vice- President of MAIT for 2012- 13.

 Debjani Ghosh has been the Managing Director of Sales and Marketing Operations for South Asia at Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd. since January 1, 2012. Ghosh served as Chief Executive Officer of Intel Malaysia and Director of Intel Groups Southeast Asia at Intel Corporation. Ghosh served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Southeast Asia at Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd. until December 2011. She has been with Intel for 18 years.  

The outgoing President J V Ramamurthy said, “We are honoured to have Mr Amar Babu as the President and Ms. Debjani Ghosh as the Vice President of MAIT. With their knowledge and expertise, we are looking forward to their contribution towards the association’s commitment to the Indian IT hardware industry.”
